Hyderabad, the capital city of Andhra Pradesh, has emerged as not only a much popular tourist spot but also a corporate hub. The unique thing about Hyderabad is that this beautifully maintained peaceful city exudes the rich heritage and old world charm of the country and blends the most modern infrastructure with it. That is the reason Hyderabad witnesses an amazing footfall every year, attracting tourists from all over the country and even abroad.   The Char Minar is associated with Hyderabad to the extent of having become a synonym of Hyderabad. Established way back in 1591, this majestic structure has wowed tourists from all over the world down the years with the unparalleled architectural skills it reflects. At the base of the Char Minar is the Laad Bazaar famous for its dazzling array of colored bangles and the very delicious burqe-vali chai (tea).  Tourists should also visit the Salarjung Museum to take a trip back to history, with its amazing collection of arts and artifacts related to the eras gone by and the icons of Indian culture and heritage. The Clock Room houses an intriguing variety of clocks from all across the globe. If there is one thing Hyderabad isn’t short of, it’s buildings, museums and palaces. The most famous of them are Qutb Shahi Tombs, Golconda Fort and Falaknuma Palace. Each is an example of architectural brilliance and, without any exaggeration, can be labeled as epitomes of beauty with their intricate designs and magnificent appearances.   As a sharp contrast to the historic sites, proudly stands the Hitech City (or Cyberabad), glimmering with the biggest corporate houses in the IT field. And of course, the Ramoji Film City, the seemingly endless beautifully done up film set, is worth a special mention. Both children and adults can spend a fun day at the Zoo or the Planetarium.  However, Hyderabad is not only about architectural wonders. Nature has also done its bit to make the city beautiful. Hussain Sagar Lake and Secret Lake are places where one can spend hours gazing at the beautiful scenery in front or take leisurely walks.  Overall, Hyderabad is a place that is sure to be enjoyed and loved by people from every walk of life and of every age.  Author: Anwesha (Kolkata)   … [Read more...]
